Mistake 1: Band too loose
Cause of 80% of bra problems. Sister-size down (e.g. 36 โ 34, with cup up).
Mistake 2: Wearing the bra on the tightest hook
New bras should fit on the LOOSEST hook. Tightest = your bra is dead, replace it.
Mistake 3: Cup too small (double bust)
Tissue spills over top or sides. Sister-size up, OR try a fuller-cup style.
Mistake 4: Underwire on breast tissue
The underwire should sit on your rib cage, not on breast tissue. Wider, deeper cup needed.
Mistake 5: Centre gore lifts off chest
The centre piece should sit flat against the sternum. If it floats, cup is too small or wires are too narrow.
Mistake 6: Straps slip off
Adjust shorter, OR the band is too loose (raise band tightness).
Mistake 7: Straps dig in
Band is doing too little. Sister-size down for a tighter band.
Mistake 8: Wearing a bralette as a sports bra
Bralettes have no impact control. Use a real sports bra for any cardio.
Mistake 9: Tumble-drying bras
Heat ruins elastane. Air-dry flat.
Mistake 10: Buying without trying on
Brand sizing varies. Always try on and walk around for 60 seconds before buying.
